How to give a twisty turn to the classic Manchurian at Home
Whenever we crave for Indo-Chinese delicacies, the only dish that clicks our mind is the delicious Manchurian which is everyone’s favorite and goes well with fried rice, bowl of Hakka noodles or on its own. The classic restaurant like Manchurian spills the magic of its aroma with the stir-fried garlic, onion, bell peppers all tossed together making us difficult to resist and end up burning a hole in your pockets by paying those huge bills at cafes or Chinese restaurants. But wait, what if you want to cook in your own desi-style giving it a bit of fusion whenever you wish to? Sounds exciting?
Here we bring a few recipes to give a twisty turn to the crunchiest Manchurian at home.
1. Noodles Manchurian
Have you ever thought of taking your favorite instant noodles to next level and cook it as balls dipped in spicy Manchurian gravy? No? So, let’s make it happen!
Firstly, for the Manchurian balls, cook the instant noodles as you do by adding the tastemaker and water. Bring it to boil until the water in it dries. Put the cooked noodles in a bowl and let it cool down. Add chopped garlic, ginger, cabbage, carrots, onions and a pinch of salt. Mix everything but try avoid mashing it and add corn flour to it. Now, with your greased hands make tiny balls of the mixture and deep fry them in a pan.
For the gravy, heat 1 tablespoon of oil in a pan and lightly toss chopped garlic, onions & bell peppers for 4-5 mins on medium flame. Add 50ml of water to the sauteed veggies and pour the entire pack of ChefBoss Manchurian Cooking Sauce. Let it cook for another 2 minutes. Now, add the fried noodle balls to gravy and stir slightly till the gravy thickens.
Garnish it with chopped coriander and spring onions. Tadaaa….the noodles Manchurian is ready to gobble up!
2. Crispy Gobi Manchurian
We’ve always used Gobi as an ingredient for Indian cuisines, have you tried using it for Indo-chinese delicacies? If not, then now is the time!
Clean cauliflower florets and add them to hot water. Allow them to rest for 3-5 minutes. Rinse the florets thoroughly and let it dry for 10-15 minutes. In a large mixing bowl, add refined flour(maida), corn flour, red chilli powder, salt and pepper. Add water to make a free-flowing batter. The batter must be smooth and without any lumps. Add gobi to this batter and coat them well.
In a pan, heat the oil on the medium flame and add batter coated florets to it. Keep stirring the florets until the florets turn golden brown. Now, drain them on a kitchen tissue.
For the dry Manchurian, Heat 2 tablespoons of oil in a pan or wok. Add chopped garlic, ginger, green chilies, onions and bell peppers. Sauté them well for 2-3 minutes. Pour 50 ml of water and the entire pack of ChefBoss Manchurian Cooking Sauce. Cook it on a medium flame till the gravy thickens and is about to dry. Switch off the flame. Add the fried gobi and toss it well. Garnish it with chopped coriander or spring onions.
Serve it as an appetizer or a side with fried rice or Hakka noodles.
3. Egg Manchurian
Egg is such a versatile ingredient that you can make so many delicious delicacies out of it, be it a dessert, snack, main course or breakfast! Let’s give you an exotic recipe that’s going to be loved by everyone. Here it is…
Take corn flour, refined flour, ginger garlic paste, black pepper powder and salt in a bowl. Add 50ml water to it and mix it well. Whisk till the batter becomes thick and smooth without lumps.
Now, cut the boiled eggs into halves. One by one add the eggs to the batter and coat them well. Deep fry the marinated eggs in a pan on medium flame and make sure the yellow part remains on the top. Fry it for 3-4 minutes.
In a non-stick pan, heat 4-5 tablespoons of oil and add chopped ginger and garlic. Sauté it for about 1 minute. Add green chilies, onion petals and bell peppers to it. Lightly toss it for another 2 minutes. Pour 50ml of water and the whole pack of ChefBoss Manchurian Cooking Sauce. Stir the gravy till it gets thick. Slowly add the fried eggs to the gravy and mix it well. Garnish it with chopped coriander and spring onions. And the yummy Egg Manchurian is ready to eat!
